Dear Fic Mountain Creator!

Some of this is taken directly from previous letters because my likes/wants really don't change all that much! Apologies for any repetition.

Aside from my DNWs (which aren't exactly extensive), go ahead and pick and choose through anything/everything below. I'm pretty easy to please so if you want to read the DNWs, skip the rest and write the fic of your heart (or indeed draw the art of your heart!) in whatever fandom we matched on, that's totally fine by me.

Note: I'm completely happy with any rating ranging from the mildest G right up to the most explicit of explicit (for fic or for art). Also, length of prompts below doesn't indicate that I want one fandom more than another - I just have more words for some and more incoherent squee for others. ;)

Fanart: All my requests are for fic or art, and I should probably make it clear that I'm 100% happy with either! But I'm terrible at giving art-specific prompts (I'm trying to improve!) so really, if we match on art and nothing from the prompts below grabs you then I'm totally fine with just my requested character(s) appearing on the same page.

Kissing is good, sparring/physical activity is good, something reminiscent of a canon scene is good... also happy with something porny or dark. I love contrasting colours, bold lines, little details like jewellery or specific clothes people wore in canon, I like fingers twined together (or in hair), or anything from my list of likes below!


100% DNWs:
  • children/pregnancy (not even vague mentions of pregnancy at all, please, including mpreg and oviposition, and no children as main characters - I'm happy to read a bit about the characters themselves as kids in the past, but I'd prefer everyone involved be adults at the time the fic takes place)
  • D/s lifestyle (casual D/s without minute negotiation, or totally unnegotiated dubcon iffiness, are both A-OK!)
  • humiliation (as a kink or otherwise)
  • scat/watersports/emetophilia

Basically, as long as it's not in my DNWs, absolutely go for it - I mean that 100%. Zombie apocalypse? Really kinky porn? Gore? Random crack? Badfic on purpose? Wacky AUs? All fine, and more! But, if you want ideas about what I like:

General likes:
  • time loops
  • Pacific Rim fusions
  • snarky, sarcastic or tongue-in-cheek humour

  • characters knowing each other really well (whether as friends or enemies)

Darker fic:
I enjoy darkfic and dark art so as long as it's not in my DNWs, go for it. Torture porn, ghost stories, scary magic, religious weirdness, twisted mindfuckery, non-con, gaslighting, serious body horror, all absolutely A-OK. Feel free to use bad/offensive/dirty language if it fits the fic, as much swearing as you like, etc. I'll read just about anything, including xeno, vore, serial killer AUs, whatever tickles your fancy. Basically: excepting my DNWs, feel free to try to weird me out!

Alien Series:

I've seen all of the films (including the Predator-related ones), but I haven't played the games and it's been years since I read any of the novelisations or comics, so I'm hoping for movie canon only, please!

Incidentally, if you're thinking of doing Alien-related fic/art for me and you don't know the full series, that's totally fine by me - I'm happy with something set within a specific film, making up backstory or making up the future, canon-divergence or whatever you like, I just love this universe.

A big part of what I like about the Alien series is the aesthetic of it - yes, unsurprisingly, I like HR Giger! the aliens and the utilitarian ships and the dark/light and the isolated, claustrophobic feel of it are great - and I'm big on survival horror and futuristic environments and IN SPACE!! canons in general.

I also love the idea that Alien and Blade Runner are in the same universe, if that's something you might also enjoy. If you want to drag in any sort of Blade Runner-y stuff, from characters to locations to Tyrell, feel free. Totally not required, however!

Worldbuilding in general is great if you want to go there, too. If you do, any you'd like an idea of my Alien-related likes for that, my WorldbuildingEx letter is here.

--- Requested Ship/Character: Ellen Ripley/Dwayne Hicks

- Shippy moments during the film?
- Ripley and Hicks both survive: how would/wouldn't that affect Alien 3 or Resurrection? (What would Ripley-and-Hicks clones be like?)
- They both survive: what if they woke up somewhere else, Earth or another colony? (I'd prefer either Newt doesn't survive or ends up with a fantastic foster family, please!)
- How about they stranded on another planet, with or without aliens?
- The Marines hitching a ride on the Nostromo?
- Hicks goes back to the Colonial Marines; Ripley goes with him.
- AU where Ripley's a flight lieutenant instead of on a merchant ship, and meets Hicks on a job?

--- Requested Ship: Ellen Ripley/Jonathan Clemens

- Clemens lives. Ripley lives. what might happen if they leave Fiorina together? Would they set up on a far-off colony, him as a doctor? Would they attempt to kill off any alien samples Weyland-Yutani got off the planet?
- Ripley 8 meets a Clemens clone. How different would they be to their originals?
- They meet under different circumstances. How? Where? What are they doing? Maybe Ripley's ferrying prisoners to Fiorina. Maybe Ripley walks into Clemens' hospital. Maybe Clemens leaves Fiorina instead of staying and he's one of the colonists in Aliens.
- Something during the film - smutty PWP totally fine if that's where you want to go, or a quiet moment, drinking together, something bittersweet, up to you!

--- Requested Ship: Ripley 8/Annalee Call

Mostly, I want to know what happens next!
- Do they land on Earth? Do they stay on Earth? Do they fight aliens on Earth? Is there a sort of Alien Apocalypse, or is it averted?
- Do they leave again and fight aliens in space? Tracking down facilities, saving people along the way...
- Do they make a non-alienish life for themselves, eventually?
- What would a non-alienish life even look like, considering who and what they are?
- Maybe a weird familyish vibe with Johner and Vriess?
- How do they relate to each other? Are they worried about their respective relationships with humanity? Do they embrace their lack thereof? How inhuman is Ripley 8, anyway? In what was is Call maybe more human?
- What would the relationship be like physically (I do have a rather deep love of size difference, and comparisons in general, if that helps)?
- Are they on the run? From whom? To where? Is it hard for them to hide? Do they even bother hiding?
(if you subscribe to the whole "Alien and Blade Runner are in the same universe" thing, maybe Tyrell is suddenly after then instead of Weyland-Yutani)

--- Requested Ship: David 8/Meredith Vickers

I should probably say I'm 100% fine with you playing this as either one of them (or both of them) considering themselves related to each other, or not! Also happy with Meredith being a synthetic, or not (and knowing it, or not). Antagonism is good, bonding over shared Weyland-annoyance is good, relucantly having to work together is good...

- What might their relationship have been like on Earth before the mission? What about their first meeting?
- It seems like they might have similar feelings about their "father" - bonding somehow over that?
- Canon-divergent fic where they don't leave Earth? Maybe Meredith would need an assistant.
- Canon-divergent fic where Meredith doesn't die (your choice whether anyone else does/doesn't, of course!) - would they have gone back to Earth? Gone after the Engineers' home planet? Been stuck on the planet?
- What is/isn't David capable of? I'm thinking physically, intellectually, emotionally, however you want to take that! ;)

--- Requested Ship/Character: Ellen Ripley & Lance Bishop

- Bishop isn't as badly damaged at the end of Aliens - what sort of role would he have played in Alien 3?
- Ripley and Bishop make it to the end of Alien 3 together and meet the original Bishop (or canon-divergent after Aliens?)
- Bishop and Ripley after Aliens: say Ripley wakes up (with or without Hicks and Newt), do they manage to get Bishop fixed? Would they stick together?
- Ripley and Bishop: Alien Hunters!

The Chronicles of Riddick Series:

--- Requested Ship: Richard B. Riddick/Vaako

I've requested Chronicles of Riddick umpteen times and I'm likely to keep requesting it forever because I just love Riddick.

I really like all three of the films, just to make that clear. I like the survival horror of the first one, the random space opera of the second and the Riddick-against-the-mercs of the third, though I prefer Riddick not be all magic (the other cut of Chronicles is my favourite and I still maintain that his eyes are more to do with prison surgery than being Furyan).

So, Riddick/Vaako! Maybe Riddick catches up with the fleet after the last film (the ending where Riddick kills Krone and asks if Vaako's alive or dead (both!) amuses me greatly), or something between the end of COR and the start of Riddick. Sparring turning into something more is great, taking them both into the Underverse works for me (or maybe Vaako comes back from the Underverse in a sort of half-dead form and needs Riddick's help with something?), maybe Vaako helps Riddick break out of a slam or the other way around (or they get stuck there and have to stay), and feel free to get as kinky as you might like.

I like the idea of Vaako ending up with his purification reversed. I like the idea of Riddick ending up being (unwillingly) purified and whether or not he remembers his life after that, or if it comes back to him in pieces. I'm super into them fighting, and not really liking each other (or liking each other and having really odd ways of showing it). I like Riddick being a fantastic fighter and capable of more or less anything in terms of killing people - I like to think he's not overly concerned about the idea the Necros go around offing people, and I like the Pitch Black/Riddick characterisation of him as a killer, that it's in some way part of him and instinctual rather than just a story people have told about him. He's basically Not Very Nice, but not because he's evil - it's more because his morals don't seem to line up with other people's.

This would be a fun fandom for accidental/forced marriage, some sort of weird undercover-as-a-couple thing, imprisonment, stranded together, maybe soulmates, but I prefer the trope being somehow less straightforward in the case of soulmates, something twisted and dark and violent and almost more trouble than it's worth.

Just don't totally bash Dame Vaako if you can help it - I actually like her as a character. Heck, go for the Riddick/Vaako/Dame Vaako threesome if you like, I'm absolutely here for that.

Drive Angry:

--- Requested Ship: John Milton/The Accountant

Okay, I know, this film is utterly ridiculous. It's almost as ridiculous as Ghost Rider 2, and that's possibly the most ridiculous film I've ever seen (thank you, Nic Cage, you utter lunatic). But I love it. I really, really do. It's just so spectacularly overblown and silly!

I love the fact that it's randomly supernatural but that's not horribly overplayed - it's a lot more sweary and violent than full of religious magic. I love that Piper isn't just along for the ride and actually does kick ass, and that the Accountant doesn't have a grudge against Milton so much as he's basically just doing his job. The cars are great, the whole gunfight-while-having-sex thing just killed me with lol, and really, the rougher and dafter and more over-the-top it gets, the more I love it.

So, in terms of prompts:

- what happens next? Milton's going back to hell but are they going directly there? Road trip on the way? Another job comes up along the way and The Accountant take Milton with him?
- The Accountant needs Milton to do something for him - maybe helping him track down someone else who's escaped? Someone Milton used to know? Another of Milton's relatives? Random cult?
- The Accountant has a problem only Milton can help him solve?
- The Accountant visits Milton in hell.
- bizarre PWP in/on a car, with/without kinks in my likes above (whatever you like, considering basically neither of them can die)?

(Also: feel free to give The Accountant a name and backstory if that pleases you!)

The Guardian:

--- Requested Ship: Ben Randall/Jake Fischer

Argh, these two! I'm a total sucker for age difference and mentor/mentee relationships, and I absolutely love stuff involving training (military or otherwise), so there was roughly no way on earth I wasn't going to enjoy this.

I love the whole training bit, the (pretty genuinely horrific!) things Randall had them all do but that they're all because he wants to make sure they're ready for the job they think they want to do. Jake beating all Randall's records and it getting through to him that he could win all the records and still not make it through A School or have even half the career Randall had.

Then there's Jake going out to Kodiak - did he request that? Did Randall request that? Was it totally random? And the part where he says he wouldn't have put Jake in the Bering Sea if he didn't think he was ready (and then Jake talking Randall out of the cave and trying to convince everyone in the helicopter that Randall's absolutely fine) that really gets me!

I also love that scene in the school where Randall tells Jake he knows what he's going through, and the idiocy with the bar fight. I'm A-OK with this being while they're at A School, btw - maybe Jake never meets Emily or he says goodbye that night after he accidentally ditches her at dinner - and there's a moment in Randall's office or they end up drunk and sleeping it off in Randall's room even though it's completely idiotic.

Or, at Kodiak. Maybe Randall doesn't die and they argue after about how he tried to let go but Jake wouldn't let him. Maybe they wind up with Jake staying at Randall's place till he finds something of his own except he never actually does find something of his own. Maybe there's a really bad call-out and they fight after and wind up doing something stupid.

Or, just putting it out there - Randall does die but Jake decides to stay on because he realises they whole "Guardian" thing is true and there's some sort of weird supernatural thing going on so they do actually meet again.

But really, I'd just like these two managing to either have a relationship or have, like, one night, and feel like there might be someone who understands why they do what they do.

The Last Witch Hunter:

--- Requested Ship: Kaulder/Dolan 36th

First off: yes, I really did mean to request Dolan 36th, as played by Michael Caine. I'm a little bit in love with how 36 is physically older but Kaulder is actually older and they've known each other most of 36's life, but that's basically a drop in the ocean as far as Kaulder's concerned. But feel free to set it whenever you like - in the past, after the events of the film...

I really enjoy the magic in this and the weird sort of juxtaposition of the church and magic-users. I like that Kaulder seems to basically know it all (because he's been around so long and seen it all!), and everyone who's anyone knows who he is - something where he's recognised and 36 isn't would be interesting, maybe some sort of identity porn thing?

Obviously there's the slight issue that 36 is a Vatholic priest - feel free to go with whatever you like with this, from guilt to shame to some sort of pining, angst...maybe 36 doesn't intend to act on things but then there's some sort of magical macguffin that means they end up doing something they wouldn't have usually...and the aftermath thereof. Maybe 36 has less faith in the church after the film and he finally ends up doing something about what he's been thinking of Kaulder all those years.

Totally up for random pllotty shenanigans, Chloe turning up (or not, or indeed any other film characters, or OCs), magical happenings, 36 being de-aged to sometime 20+ and that sparking something though then maybe he realises that Kaulder doesn't care how he looks...or maybe 36 reads lurid stories about Kaulder in the records?

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen:

--- Requested Ship: Allan Quatermain/Tom Sawyer

This film is such silly, silly fun. It doesn't have a great deal in common with the graphic novels (which I've also read, and I'm totally happy for you to bring in aspects of them if you've read them too, but I'd prefer this to be primarily movie-based, please!), and it's got a very odd relationship to history and to the books that the characters are actually from, but I love it anyway.

If you want to make any literary allusions at all, to any of the books that the characters are from or to anything from roughly the same time or roughly the same genre (I mean, we have Dracula and Jekyll & Hyde and Dorian Gray, etc. so gothicish horror or adventury stuff? Frankenstein? Phantom of the Opera? Castle of Otranto? Turn of the Screw? Poe? Byron? Shelley? That sort of thing!), great! No requirement, though, feel free to stick to the movie, which is absolutely what I'm here for. :D

Yes, I know, Allan's 40+ years older than Tom. This is one of the things I love about these two! :D I'm also a little bit in love with the fact that Allan's not only older than Tom but taller and generally more experienced, but Tom's sort of like a younger, cheerier, less world-weary, vastly more American version of him. And I really appreciated the scene where Allan helps Tom with his shooting.

Things I'd like to see are, in no particular order or preference: post-movie fic where Africa really doesn't let Allan die (does he come back the same, different, wrong? does he remember, or is there a period of amnesia?), the two of them (or indeed them and the team) gallivanting around the world on another job (Africa? America? In the plot of another novel?), Tom managing to teach Allan something (or remind him of something he'd forgotten?), Allan teaching Tom something new, maybe something like them having to pretend to be father and son and it bringing up the realisation that that's really not how they feel about each other...


I love the post-apocalyptic thing this has going on, the oddly ethereal thing the house in the sky has going on (man, that swimming pool...) and then the reality of Earth below.

I love the ship Jack pilots and the landscapes, Jack's house, the clones, and the slow reveal of the plot. And pretty much everything else about it, if I'm honest, up to and including the plot holes (I like to think they're just plot questions waiting for someone to answer them, personally ;) ).

Seriously, I love this film horribly, flaws and all, and I'm pretty much guaranteed to enjoy whatever you might come up with for it! :D

--- Requested Ship: Jack Harper 52/Jack Harper 49

I know, I know, they're both Tom Cruise. But I can't help it, I like Tom Cruise.

- Set during the movie is fine if you can make that work - random PWP? Canon-divergent AU?
- Set pre-movies, maybe they met while on the Tet before being deployed on Earth?
- Set post-movies, somehow 49 survives and gets to know 52?
- How are they similar? How are they different? How might their experiences on Earth have changed them in different ways, physically and mentally?
- Were any differences intentionally introduced into the clones by the Tet? Are they exactly alike?
- Do they remember things from the Real Jack's memory exactly the same way?

--- Requested Ship: Jack Harper 52/Sykes

- What happens when they meet? I'm assuming Sykes is still prickly and 52 hasn't got much idea what's going on - how on earth would they end up together?
- Anything, literally anything, that has anything to do with their size difference. 52 is so much shorter and slighter than Sykes while still being able to handle himself, and I love that.
- 52 joining the Scavs at their base, Sykes keeping an eye on him, 52 getting involved and proving he's trustworthy...and things develop?
- Does 52 still feel like he's "Jack Harper" or does he decide he needs to live his own (separate, non-Jack) life? Might that make him choose Sykes instead of attempting to make a go of things with Julia?
- PWP totally fine if you're into that - first time, established relationship, "you remind me of someone else", things I like in smut are in the likes above!

--- Requested Ship: Jack Harper 52/Jack Harper 49/Sykes

- Basically what I said for both ships above, but with added threesome!
- How would this work? Do they get into this weird threesome from the start or do two of them get together then the other's added? Is it a one-time deal or something longer term?
- Can Sykes tell them apart? Would they ever pretend to be each other?

Penny Dreadful:

This is such a great show, despite the sort of vaguely unsatisfying ending. It's so atmospheric and manages to cram in so many references to so many stories that I absolutely love, and the costumes and sets and whatnot are just amazing. And it helps that I love the majority of the characters! :D

A quick note: if you happen to want to write anything plotty for this fandom - and I'm 100% not saying OMG YOU MUST because I'll enjoy pretty much anything for Penny Dreadful! - I'm totally fine with you bringing in characters or plots from other books, giving people backstory, etc. And adventures in places other than England are absolutely fine by me, too.

--- Requested Ship: Ethan Chandler/Ferdinand Lyle

Let's just take it as a given that I'm a little bit in love with Ethan and talk about Lyle for a minute!

I love his whole savoir-faire with languages and history and grim stories and knowledge of the occult. I love his rather flamboyant hair and his not-quite-flirting with Ethan. You can just see him poking about libraries and museums and ancient ruins, getting dusty and fascinated. I also love that he's so much shorter than Ethan, and older, and probably knows a trick or two that even Ethan doesn't.

Has he had any adventures of his own to tell Ethan about, maybe in his younger days, maybe just last Thursday? Maybe they go on an adventure together and get into (then subsequently out of) trouble? Would they get out of it via Lyle's knowledge or Ethan's handiness with a firearm?

Or, Lyle and Ethan meet under less grim circumstances, or take time out from what's going on to take a turn in a museum, or have dinner together, or Ethan teaches Lyle to shoot, or they go on a super-secret mission together.

Really, I just want them Doing Things together, whether that's shenanigans or adventures or smut or just flirting together terribly.

--- Requested Ship: Ethan Chandler/Sir Malcolm Murray

These two. Both tough and both have experience with the supernatural, and they've had personal tragedies and difficulties and they're still standing.

I like that Sir Malcolm's sort of gruff and older and doesn't seem to either trust easily or actually like the majority of people. I like that Ethan sort of does see the best in people, at least sometimes, and is willing to work for Sir Malcolm even when he realises what he's probably going to have to do. I like that they're not afraid to get their hands dirty or do what has to be done. And I like that Sir Malcolm's older than Ethan, and Ethan's taller and broader than Sir Malcolm, and one's basically upper class English and one's sort of who-knows-what-class American and they probably shouldn't get along for a variety of reasons but they end up doing all this stuff together anyway.

Sooo, what do I want from this? Basically, I'm looking for the two of them in the same room at some point, to be honest! I'm happy with it being a straight-up PWP, plotty, antagonistic, something supernatural happens and they have a weird moment together and then there's awkwardness after, they have to do something together (sexual or not) that they don't think they want to and it escalates...maybe they have to do something or go somewhere or find something to save someone else, like they're working together to save Vanessa or whatever.

Basically: sort-of-reluctantly getting together would be great, whether it's just for one night of maybe-regrettable sweaty action or it spins out longer-term! :D

--- Requested Ship: Ethan Chandler/Vanessa Ives

I kind of wanted these two to get together right from the start, if I'm honest, and I'd basically like pretty much anything for the two of them.

Modern AU? Go for it. Canon-divergence where Vanessa goes Dark Side and everything ends in woe? Totally fine. Series-end fix-it where Vanessa manages to overcome stuff and Ethan helps? Yay! PWP A-OK. Or a total AU where they meet under different circumstances, likewise fine.

I do prefer Vanessa be at least moderately in control of herself and her actions, though, or struggling to take control, or having made a conscious decision to change knowing what will happen. And Ethan staying with her no matter how bad things get. Or maybe they wander off into a different country and have different adventures, or they go live a very quiet life in the country...or it's all dancing and dinner parties and Vanessa The Medium. Totally up to you!

--- Requested Ship: Vanessa Ives/Sir Malcolm Murray

Yep, I'm That Person who wants the pseudo-incestuous m/f ship. And I'd actually prefer it not be played as "oh, they're totally not related, not even notionally, he's just her childhood friend's father, nothing remotely creepy here". I like the creepiness, and the fact that there's a possibility he could actually be her father (though I generally prefer he's not actually her father, or it's left completely ambiguous whether he is or not, and it's just that they're in this sort of oddly surrogate father-daughter relationship but not at the same time - ah, complications!).

I like the age difference here and the possible power imbalance (though, let's face it, most of the time Vanessa's more than capable of taking care of herself). I like that they know each other really well and that they've chosen to stick together. I like that he treats her like an adult, not like a child, even though he obviously knew her growing up. I like that they work well together (so feel free to give them a mystery to solve).

Maybe they've been sort of skirting the issue for years (maybe something happened a while ago and they haven't managed to talk about it), but then something happens and sparks something off between them. Maybe there's some sort of tropey ritual thing that requires sex and they deal with the aftermath, or it's just rumours about how Sir Malcolm is living in a house with a young woman who's not his wife - how do they react to that (apart from Vanessa finding it ridiculous)?

Feel free to go as dark and weird and twisted as you like with this, or give them some sort of happy ending (as far as that's even possible in this fandom!). And I'd sort of prefer it didn't end as grimly as the series did, if at all possible - I like Vanessa when she's resisting what's happening to her, or maybe embracing it of her own volition and going full-on Dark Side knowing what will happen, not like a limp dishrag.


--- Requested Ship: Boyd/Ives

Ah, my precious little cannibal fandom! I love everything about this film, from the rather horrible images of meat and food (it amuses me greatly that the director is supposedly a vegetarian, as am I! But don't let that constrain you at all - I mean, I'm requesting the cannibal fandom so "meat" is fine) to the music and the atmosphere and the snow and the dirt and blood and whatnot. It's horribly atmospheric and extremely well done and I can't believe so few people even know it exists.

A canon-divergent AU where they both live would be interesting, though I'd be more interested in only the two of them living and them not ending up in charge of some sort of cannibalistic community gateway to the west. They'd probably be antagonistic but oddly codependent comrades, I think, if Boyd could persude Ives not to bump off passersby and be content with eating the dead (or people who "deserve" it). I suspect that wouldn't last long, though, and Boyd would be a sort of reluctant, pessimistic, nay-saying grump about it all and hating himself for doing it but deciding that if he can't kill Ives then he might as well stick around to try to keep him moderately in check, at least. Or maybe in the end he embraces the whole thing and hey, creepy cannibal murder husbands! Or maybe Ives just kidnaps Boyd and they end up in a Stockholm/Lima sort of wholly unhealthy relationship that grows out of that.

If you fancied writing a mid-movie PWP or a strange fantasy Boyd has while he's in the midst of dying, also A-OK by me! I like the idea of a modern AU, too - feel free to go for some sort of weird Hannibal fusion if you're into that where they meet because Boyd needs therapy after some sort of awful war experience, or maybe good health isn't all that it does for them and they actually live into the modern day. Or set it in any time period in between - I'd be interested in any of them at all, or indeed any country they might go to, if they ever leave the mountains at all.

Feel free to go as dark and awful as you like with this (does one finally end up killing the other, for example?), as smutty or gory or kinky or just plain odd as you like, or go for dark humour!


I love Rome. I love the history of it, the lush sets, the vastness of it. I love the costumes and the way the characters are all larger than life but still somehow perfectly believable. I really like the touches that actually come from history, too, but absolutely don't feel like you need to be tied into what Actually Happened or to any kind of period-correctness (the show certainly didn't feel the need, and I absolutely love it!).

--- Requested Ship: Lucius Vorenus/Mark Antony

Antony is such a schmoozy, charming, wine-soaked, philandering git, and yet I love him madly! He's a weird kind of example of a guy who was great at what he used to do - namely, soldiering, and who shouldn't have gone into anything else - namely, politics. While he was at least somewhat adept at it, he seemed to get really, really bored with it, acted in ways that he knew would just rile everyone up and cause problems, and didn't give a damn what most people thought of him. He also seemed fond of oddly toxic relationships! I'm never quite sure whether he loved Cleopatra or was just sort of infatuated with the idea of her, to be honest - he should probably have stuck with Atia, though that would probably have ended badly in another way completely.

Vorenus is pretty much the same in terms of should-have-stuck-with-soldiering. He was good at it, seemed to enjoy it to some extent, and politics really didn't seem to suit him (or, at least, politics didn't end well for him). He's loyal to a fault, surly, a bit brusque, thinks he knows right from wrong very clearly, and in a lot of ways never really came back from the war. I like that he's basically inept with women, even his wife, but knows exactly what he's doing in uniform. I like that he's willing to stand up against things he thinks are wrong but doesn't expect to get off scot free. Basically: he's got principles!

What I'd like from Antony/Vorenus is something that shows Vorenus's loyalty but also how Antony was, at some point, actually worthy of that loyalty. By all means set it in Egypt while Antony's wearing eyeliner and drinking himself into a stupor - I kind of like the idea of Vorenus reminding him of who he was. Likewise, pre-canon is great - Antony while he was a general, a good fighter, a commander, who had scores of men loyal to him. Maybe Antony can't order Vorenus to debase himself but maybe Vorenus thinks it's the lesser of two evils (and enjoys it)? Maybe it's a weird reward for a job well done and Antony says he'll obey Vorenus's orders for a day, and Vorenus actually reluctantly goes along with it?

--- Requested Ship: Lucius Vorenus/Titus Pullo

I love that Vorenus is so unyielding and that Pullo is such a daft prat with such hard edges and lack of impulse control, but they get on well (eventually) and they have this weird life together while history's sort of going on around them.

I'd like it to end happily, without major character death or any of that, despite the angst we know goes on in the show. I'm not talking about out-of-character fluff, just a hopeful end where they don't die horrible deaths, please! Vignettes from some stage (or various stages) of their relationship, in the show or before it or after, that's also fine! Also happy with slightly antagonistic stuff set at the start of the show, as long as it ends without doom and gloom.

Where do they end up post-show (I'd prefer not too much emphasis on Cesarion - appearing is fine, not so much him and his attitude driving the story)? Maybe a scene from Egypt where Vorenus wants to get away from all the Egyptian-ness for a while and what he has available for that is Pullo (who, it turns out, is more than willing to help)? Maybe a festival in Rome, or one that Vorenus wants to celebrate in Egypt. Maybe on campaign in Gaul, after a battle. Maybe Vorenus needs Pullo to teach him more about how to court women (since he seems to be so woefully out of practice!), and it doesn't go quite as expected. Heck, maybe skip forward a bit to Octavian becoming Caesar Augustus and Vorenus and Pullo work for him (I sort of love Octavian's relationship with Pullo!).

If you could avoid emphasis on Eirene or Niobe and concentrate on Vorenus and Pullo, that would be great, btw. The women are awesome in Rome but I got basically what I wanted about them in canon.
